What is Ivy6?
Ivy6 is a native iPhone app built around the Ivy Lee Method — a productivity system developed in 1918 that limits your daily focus to exactly 6 tasks, executed one at a time in strict priority order. Instead of managing endless lists, Ivy6 helps you commit to what truly matters each day.
What is the Ivy Lee Method?
It is a four-step daily ritual: every evening, write down the 6 most important things you need to do tomorrow. Order them by real priority. The next morning, start with task #1 and don’t move to #2 until it’s done. Any unfinished tasks are returned to your Inbox for re-evaluation the next day. That’s the entire system — and it has been working for over 100 years.
Is Ivy6 free?
Yes. The core Ivy Lee experience — Inbox, Daily 6, Focus Mode, Midnight Rollover, Widgets, and Siri Shortcuts — is completely free. Ivy6 Pro unlocks advanced features like iCloud sync, extended analytics, and seasonal themes.
Which devices does Ivy6 support?
Ivy6 is designed for iPhone running iOS 18 or later. Ivy6 Pro users can sync their tasks across multiple Apple devices via iCloud.
Daily 6 & Inbox
Why can I only add 6 tasks to my daily list?
That is intentional. The constraint is the feature. Limiting yourself to 6 forces a daily act of prioritization that most people avoid. If everything is a priority, nothing is. Ivy6 doesn’t let you cheat the system.
What happens if I don’t finish all 6 tasks?
At midnight, Ivy6 automatically resets your Daily list. Completed tasks go to your history. Unfinished tasks return quietly to your Inbox — not as failures, but as candidates for tomorrow’s planning ritual. There are no overdue tasks in Ivy6.
What is the Inbox for?
The Inbox is your external brain — a safe place to capture every idea, errand, or future task the moment it comes to mind, without disrupting your daily focus. During your evening planning ritual, you pick the most important items from your Inbox and promote them to your Daily 6.
Can I reorder my daily tasks?
Yes. You can drag and reorder your Daily 6 at any time during the day. Reprioritizing is a normal part of the ritual.
Focus Mode
What is Focus Mode?
Focus Mode is a dedicated, distraction-free view that shows you one thing only: your current task and a live timer. It tracks exactly how much focused time you dedicate to each task, pausing automatically if you leave the app.
Does Focus Mode use the Dynamic Island?
Yes. On iPhone 16 Pro and later, an active Focus session appears in the Dynamic Island — showing your task title and a live timer without requiring you to return to the app.
Does the timer stop if I switch apps?
Yes. Ivy6 detects when you leave the app and pauses the focus timer automatically, so your logged focus time is always accurate.
Widgets & Siri
What widgets does Ivy6 offer?
Ivy6 offers three widget sizes: Lock Screen (rectangular), Small, and Medium. All widgets show your current #1 priority and update automatically as you complete tasks throughout the day.
Can I add tasks with Siri?
Yes. You can say “Add a task to Ivy6” and Siri will ask for the title and add it to your Inbox instantly — even while driving or with your phone in your pocket.
Can I ask Siri what my top priority is?
Yes. Ask “What should I focus on in Ivy6?” and Siri will read your #1 daily task aloud without you needing to open the app.

Is my data private?
Yes. Ivy6 does not use external servers. All your data lives on your device and, for Pro users, in your personal iCloud account — no third party ever has access to your tasks.
Can I restore my Pro purchase on a new iPhone?
Yes. Open Ivy6, go to Settings, and tap “Restore Purchase.” Your lifetime Pro access will be restored instantly at no charge.
Weekly Insights
What is the Rollover Rate?
Your Rollover Rate is the percentage of daily tasks that were not completed and returned to the Inbox over the past 7 days. A high Rollover Rate is a signal that you may be overestimating your daily capacity — the method works best when you finish most of what you commit to.
What does Total Focus show?
Total Focus shows the cumulative time you spent in Focus Mode across all tasks in the past 7 days. It also breaks down focus time per individual task, so you can see exactly where your deep work hours went.
Privacy & Data
Does Ivy6 track my behavior or show ads?
No. Ivy6 has no analytics, no advertising, and no external data collection of any kind. Your productivity data belongs to you.
What happens to my data if I delete the app?
Your local data is removed with the app. If you are an Ivy6 Pro user with iCloud Sync enabled, your tasks remain safely in your iCloud account and will be restored if you reinstall the app.
