Privacy Policy for Aestu
This Privacy Policy describes how your information is handled when you use the Aestu app on iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and watchOS.
1. No Personal Data Collection
I do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to my own servers.
Aestu does not require account registration, and I do not have access to your identity, email, or any other private information.
2. iCloud Synchronization
Aestu uses Apple’s iCloud (CloudKit) service to synchronize your focus sessions, settings, and energy levels across your devices.
- Your data is stored in your private iCloud database.
- I (the developer) cannot access this data.
- You can manage or disable iCloud sync in your device’s System Settings.
3. Calendar Integration (Optional)
Aestu offers an optional feature to export your focus sessions to your Calendar.
- This requires your explicit permission via EventKit.
- No data is sent to external servers; the app only writes to the calendar(s) you select locally on your device.
4. In-App Purchases (StoreKit 2)
Purchases for the “Pro” version are handled entirely by Apple’s StoreKit 2.
- Transactions are processed through your App Store account.
- I receive only anonymous confirmation of the purchase status to unlock premium features.
5. Local Storage
User settings, session history, and preferences are stored locally on your device for fast access and offline usage.
6. No Third-Party Analytics or Tracking
I do not use third-party analytics (like Google Analytics or Firebase) or any tracking SDKs.
I believe in a clean, focused experience without surveillance.
7. App Store Connect Information
For transparency, the following categories of data may be collected by Apple but are not linked to your identity or accessible by me:
- Usage Data: General app interactions (if you have opted-in to share diagnostics with Apple).
- Purchases: Information regarding your transaction history with Apple.
